The</p><p>estimated annual base salary range for this position is $44530 - $58999.60. Individual pay</p><p>within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including</p><p>performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or</p><p>training. This role is also eligible for S&C’s annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility</p><p>criteria.</p><p> </p><p>Join Our Team as an Component Quality Technologist!</p><p> </p><p>Are you passionate about Quality and Inspection? S&C Electric Company is seeking a</p><p>dynamic individual to join our inspection department. As a Component Quality</p><p>Technologist, you’ll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse</p><p>team.</p><p> </p><p>The Component Quality Technologist provides a variety of services aimed at helping its</p><p>internal customers, S&C leaders and team members, deliver superior quality to our</p><p>customers. Quality planning, inspection, audit, quality information, quality improvement</p><p>consulting, and quality communications are examples of the kind of services that the</p><p>organization provides.</p><p> </p><p>In this job you will be responsible for inspecting fabricated parts, sub-assemblies and final</p><p>assemblies, including painted components, made from various machines such as shears,</p><p>punch presses, and welding work centers. You will be required to work with assembly and</p><p>detailed prints, industry standards, routings, BOMs, specifications, instruction bulletins,</p><p>and customer notes. Inspecting the products will require you to use various pieces of</p><p>inspection equipment and the ability to select the appropriate measuring equipment such</p><p>as tape measures, go/no go gages, special gages, torque wrenches, thread plug gages,</p><p>fluke meters, and fuses holder standards.</p><p> </p><p>The job will require you to clearly communicate verbally and in written format. Abnormal</p><p>conditions, must be clearly recorded on the Checklist, DPU report, and/or on a NMR. All</p><p>defects will be recorded and clearly explained to assembly team members and shop floor</p><p>leadership. There will be times when product will be placed on hold until you clearly</p><p>explain the abnormal conditions to engineers so they can determine if the product could be</p><p>sent to the customer or needs to be reworked.</p><p> </p><p><strong>The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:</strong></p><p>Complete recording of abnormalities on the checklists, DPU reports, and/or conconforming material reports.</p><p>Inspecting fabricated parts.</p><p>Inspecting sub-assemblies.</p><p>Inspecting final assemblies.</p><p>An awareness of necessary safety practices and procedures.</p><p>Maintain appropriate levels of housekeeping.</p><p>Data entry and reporting on spreadsheets and specific report documentation</p><p>Problem solving</p><p> </p><p><strong>To select this job as one of interest to you, at a minimum, you must have the following:</strong></p><p>One to three years of experience inspecting in a manufacturing environment .</p><p>Basic understanding of GD&T</p><p>Basic understanding of Metrology</p><p>MS Outlook skills.</p><p>Ability to use shop math.</p><p>Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings for fabricated parts,</p><p>mechanical assemblies and specials.</p><p>Ability to use basic dimensional measuring tools. (mics, calipers, height gage, pins</p><p>gages, threaded gages, measuring tape)</p><p>Ability to use a resistance meter.</p><p>Ability to maintain accurate records.</p><p>Ability to support departmental team members on short notice.</p><p>Ability to change your start times on short notice as needed.</p><p>Ability to work independently in a service-oriented environment.</p><p>Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing.</p><p>Ability to use a pallet jack and ladder safely.</p><p>Ability to inspect from elevated heights when necessary.</p><p>Willingness to learn software such as Oracle, Compliance Quest (QMS), Wriker, and</p><p>SmarTeam.</p><p>Ability to navigate to E-Docs and Operating System Documents on SharePoint or EVault.</p><p> </p><p><strong>MAJOR PHYSICAL DEMANDS</strong></p><p>Standing: Most tasks performed in a standing position with frequent walking.</p><p>Lifting: Frequent lifting of items ranging in weight from ¼ to 40 lbs.</p><p>Walking: Frequent walking short distances (total one to two miles)</p><p>Carrying: Frequent carrying of items ranging in weight from ¼ to 40 lbs.</p><p>Pushing: Frequent use of cart to transport material</p><p>Pulling: Frequent use of cart to transport material</p><p>Bending: Frequent bending and crouching required</p><p>Reaching: Occasional full range of motion from above the shoulders to below the</p><p>knees</p><p>Handling: Continuous handling of parts ranging in size from ¼ to 40 lbs.</p><p> </p><p>Ready to make an impact and become an employee-owner?
