The estimated hourly base pay rate for this position is $32.5. <a name="_Hlk213173700">This position is entitled to $ 2.5 shift premium per hour.</a>This position may also be eligible for S&C’s annual incentive plan (AIP). AIP amounts are variable and are dependent on both company and team performance, subject to eligibility criteria. The target bonus percentage for this role is 4% of annual base earnings.Join Our Team as a CNC Operator (Machine Shop)!Are you passionate about machining? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual for our machine shop function. As a CNC Operator (Machine Shop) you will be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team. You will work in a production environment, engage in continuous productive activity and must meet requirements within predetermined time constraints. Tasks require the use of both hands and arms on a repetitive basis for a full range of motion.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Operate various manual and CNC machines to fabricate parts according to standard specifications.</li><li>Set up machines with the appropriate tools and materials according to standard specifications, including the basic physical reconfiguration of the machine to complete new jobs and the setup of various specifications in computer-operated machines if applicable.</li><li>Interpret blueprints, drawings, and other technical specifications to understand the requirements for basic and moderately complex parts and ensure accurate fabrication.</li><li>Perform basic routine maintenance on machines and tools to ensure longevity and quality fabrication, including cleaning and reporting mechanical/electrical issues to department leaders.</li><li>Utilize an overhead crane and other material handling equipment to safely position materials for machining.</li><li>Complete first piece inspection of parts using various measurement tools, confirming pieces are the correct material, quality, and specifications before beginning the machining process.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of fabrication activities, including tracking the progress of job orders and documenting corrective action needed for the machine, part, or process.</li><li>Deburr metal parts using hand and/or power tools, ensuring materials are safe to handle and are in a state that's ready for further processing.</li><li>Meet department targets and consistently adhere to quality and safety standards.</li><li>Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules.</li></ul>What you’ll Need To Succeed:<ul><li>1+ year of demonstrated experience with the set-up and operation of manual and computer-controlled Verticals, Mills, Lathes, Presses, Drills, and other Machine Shop type of equipment</li><li>Ability to use hand tools and precision measuring instruments such as scales and callipers.</li><li>Good knowledge of machine controls and programs, with the ability to set up machines to operate new jobs to specific specifications.</li><li>Ability to read blueprints</li><li>Ability to work independently and meet the requirements of assigned materials requests.</li><li>Good communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to articulate information efficiently and effectively to team members in a variety of production support departments.</li><li>Basic computer skills with the ability to review and respond to requests via internal applications.</li><li>Basic math skills with the ability to calculate quantities, weights, and measurements.</li><li>Good interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to understand and complete requests given by team members inside and outside of the department.</li><li>Ability and willingness to follow Health Safety & Environment procedures accurately, reporting concerns promptly to the safety action team. </li></ul>Physical demands: <ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li style="background-color:white;color:black;line-height:normal;tab-stops:list 36.0pt;">Standing: All tasks are performed in a standing position with intermittent walking.</li><li style="background-color:white;color:black;line-height:normal;tab-stops:list 36.0pt;">Lifting: Frequent lifting of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs to 20 lbs.</li><li style="background-color:white;color:black;line-height:normal;tab-stops:list 36.0pt;">Walking: Occasional walking moderate distances (less than 1km).</li><li style="background-color:white;color:black;line-height:normal;tab-stops:list 36.0pt;">Carrying: Frequent carrying of items ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 20 lbs.</li><li style="background-color:white;color:black;line-height:normal;tab-stops:list 36.0pt;">Pushing: Occasional pushing of motorized material handling carts with loaded weights up to 1000 lbs.</li><li style="background-color:white;color:black;line-height:normal;tab-stops:list 36.0pt;">Pulling: Occasional pulling of motorized material handling carts with loaded weights up to 1000 lbs.</li><li style="background-color:white;color:black;line-height:normal;tab-stops:list 36.0pt;">Bending: Frequent bending and crouching to safely lift parts of various sizes and shapes.</li><li style="background-color:white;color:black;line-height:normal;tab-stops:list 36.0pt;">Reaching: Continuous full range of motion from above the shoulders to below the knees.</li><li
