The estimated hourly base pay rate for this position is $28.5. <a name="_Hlk213173700">This position is entitled to $2.5 shift premium per hour. </a>This position may also be eligible for S&C’s annual incentive plan (AIP). AIP amounts are variable and are dependent on both company and team performance, subject to eligibility criteria. The target bonus percentage for this role is 4% of annual base earnings.Join Our Team as a Welder!Are you passionate about fabrication? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual for our fabrication function. As a Welder, you will be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team. You will work in a production environment, engage in continuous productive activity and must meet requirements within predetermined time constraints. Tasks require the use of both hands and arms on a repetitive basis for a full range of motion.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Execute moderately complex welding operations to join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable materials such as stainless steel.  </li><li>Set up and operate manual and semi-automatic (robotic) welding equipment, including MIG welding.</li><li>Read and interpret moderately complex blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and job orders to determine appropriate welding processes.</li><li>Ensure welding is completed to the required standards and specifications.</li><li>Inspect welded surfaces and structures to identify defects and ensure conformity with specifications. Deburr pieces to create appropriate welding services when necessary.</li><li>Move materials, parts, equipment and other items using material handling equipment (ie, Lifts, hoists, hand trucks, etc), ensuring safety practices are diligently followed.  </li><li>Robotic Welders: Operate and program robotic welding equipment. Set up robotic welding systems for production runs. Monitor robotic welding operations and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with robotic welding equipment.</li><li>Maintain welding equipment in good working condition.</li><li>Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to achieve production goals.</li><li>Record and report production data accurately and in a timely manner.</li><li>Participate in and identify continuous improvement initiatives to enhance welding processes.</li><li>Meet department targets and consistently adhere to quality and safety standards.</li><li>Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules. </li></ul>What you’ll Need To Succeed:<ul><li>3-4 years of demonstrated experience in a welding role in a manufacturing, automotive, or related environment.</li><li>Sound understanding of welding techniques, metallurgy, and welding symbols.</li><li>Knowledge of safety standards related to welding and metalworking.</li><li>Ability to pass a welding skills test.</li><li>Sound understanding of the properties and characteristics of metals used in welding.</li><li>Understanding of welding equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.</li><li>Robotic Welders: Understanding of robotic welding systems and programming. Knowledge of robotic welding setup and maintenance.
